  • ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

    Design thinking is a critical part of the product development process at FreeWheel. We design and develop B2B applications in the advertising space.

    As a designer, you will work with cross functional teams in conjunction with product managers, engineers and other ux designers to develop and improve FreeWheel applications.

    You will join a dynamic, passionate and growing ux team; that is shaping the future vision for FreeWheel’s products.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ground your work in observations, research and analytics to help you come up with ideas.
    • Translate high-level ideas into tangible user centered requirements.
    • Develop userflows, wireframes, visual designs, specifications and prototypes.
    • Seek feedback. We thrive on feedback and look for our team members to actively seek feedback, thoughtfully process it and apply where necessary.
    • Advocate for user-centric design practices.
    • Contribute to the FreeWheel Design System.

    ABOUT YOU

    Basic Qualifications:

     

    • Masters/Bachelors Degree in user interface design, HCI, interaction design, visual communication/graphic design or related field preferred. May be substituted with significant industry experience and accomplishments
    • 1 + years of experience in designing shippable web applications.
    • Strong online portfolio demonstrating examples of product thinking through navigation, user flows, interaction design and information architecture
    • Fluency using tools such as Sketch, Invision. (optional: Zeplin, Abstract)
    • Good visual design skill set; capable of producing hi-fidelity, working within the realms of a ui toolkit

    Nice to have

     

    • Media / ad-tech industry experience is a strong bonus, but we're looking for skills and experience over knowledge
    • Technical experience in web development (HTML/CSS/JS) and a fundamental understanding of responsive web design standard methodologies
