• Senior Product Manager - Paris

    As a Senior Product Manager you will oversee the strategic direction and product development for FreeWheel’s unique approach to programmatic video. You will own or be exposed to a wide breadth of product areas including inventory management and allocation, deal management, yield optimization and reporting.




    Your specific focus will be to drive the development of the Freewheel digital video full stack, a complete solution that encompasses ad serving, SSP, analytics, planning and insights, and destined to premium digital publishers. You will interact with users and our internal teams from design to engineering, sales and services and will coordinate efforts of different teams to insure the solution provides the best possible ad management experience in a smooth and powerful environment. You will evaluate and discuss several technical options of which you will understand and expose advantages and disadvantages, and define how they could/or could not fit into the global strategy. In this position you will own the full product development lifecycle:


    • Work with product leadership to define and document the FreeWheel strategic roadmap and communicate it to our internal teams
    • Investigate and analyze data points from customers, internal teams, market trends and the competitive landscape to feed back into the roadmap
    • Create clear goals and measurement for the engineering team you are driving
    • Be accountable for the success of your product or feature in the market
    • Drive prioritization of initiatives and features against clear measurable framework or objectives
    • Evaluate, define frameworks for and expose tradeoff of key technical and architecture decisions
    • Champion to internal teams why we do what we do and ensure our customer problems are at the heart of how we build software
    • Foster collaboration with engineering, services, sales, marketing and other teams to ensure effective delivery to market

    We are looking for a teammate who has:


    • Proven experience (4+ years) delivering software products with engineering teams of 6+, ideally in advertising technology or a SaaS company
    • Success driving direction and performance through measurement
    • Excelled at executing with agile software development in a b2b environment
    • Ability to detect signal from noise to identify patterns and formally expose customers’ needs underlying their feature requests
    • Unparalleled analytical and problem-solving skills to simplify complex business issues, and suggest elegant solutions to technically challenging problems with a very high attention to detail
    • Outstanding written & verbal communication skills to present intricate concepts in a crisp, concise way to technical and non-technical audiences alike
    • A track record of influencing without authority and driving collaboration across small/medium teams to drive results
    • Experience building products with competitive pricing dynamics (e.g. auctions)
    • Experience in the programmatic and digital video industry is a major plus – from the technology trends and standards to value chain economics – and a strong understanding of the video digital advertising ecosystem: DSPs, SSPs, adExchanges, DMPs, Trading desks and agencies
    • Technical understanding or direct experience on similar advertising stack is a strong plus.
    • A bachelor’s or graduate degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a closely related field from a top-tier university strongly preferred. An advanced degree is also a plus.
    • Experience working with globally distributed teams is a strong plus
    • Excellent team and project communication skills — with a nature for over-communicating rather than under!
