    We seek an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated Director of Client Solutions to manage our team of Client Solutions Engineers in bringing the FreeWheel technology to life each day. 

    Because of the broad purview, this team must communicate with customers and partners frequently, finding robust solutions to complex problems. Solutions Engineers are expected to draw upon their experience and creativity to ensure the success of FreeWheel’s most demanding client initiatives, often addressing requirements which have never before been asked of FreeWheel by our customers and sales prospects.

    • Manage a team of Solution/Sales Engineers and Solutions Architects executing projects across the FreeWheel client and partner ecosystem (Ad Server, SSP, DSP, & Data) 
    • Monitor team performance and workload, identifying and addressing risks and opportunities in servicing FreeWheel’s most important accounts
    • Manage inbound resourcing requests from the Sales and Account team, with a focus on efficient and effective staffing utilizing the global standard set forth by VP, Global Services
    • Independently lead the execution of internal initiatives to improve processes within the team, working in coordination with the Senior Director, Client Solutions and VP, Services.
    • Act as the executive escalation for International Service issues and provide strategy and communication planning to internal exec stakeholders while managing external expectations 
    • Work with the other SVC managers and SE Team Leads to devise proper meeting cadence, program tracking and review to ensure that all SVC KPIs are being met on an ongoing basis
    • Coach Solutions Engineers on the best practices of Solutions Engineering team members, improvement of relevant skill sets and career development, and conduct periodic performance reviews.
    • Oversee the onboarding of new Solutions Engineers, and ongoing training of all team members
    • Work with other client-facing and internal management to consistently revisit respective roles, responsibilities and processes to ensure optimal operating efficiency
    • Coordinate project coverage for PTO and business travel for team
    • Proactive alignment with the VP, Global Services on all initiatives to ensure that group MBOs will be achieved, including career development of team members



    For the right candidate, this position will allow for tremendous growth opportunities as FreeWheel continues to scale as the leader in video technology for enterprise-level media companies. This position will report directly to the VP, Global Services in New York.




    • BA/BS degree required
    • 10+ years experience in online advertising/digital marketing technology field, or other translatable experience, in a client-facing capacity
    • 5+ years experience in a management position and a proven ability to manage and develop a group of individual contributors
    • Demonstrate a track record of exemplary software implementation and systems integration skills
    • Proven ability to drive large scale projects with open collaboration, strong leadership and careful attention to customer requirements
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the value of the FreeWheel product suite and the ability to work in conjunction with the Project Management, Support Engineering and Account Management groups to devise strategies for Enterprise level solutions
    • Able to prioritize requests and workload, keep to-do lists, and prioritize those lists both within and across a variety of demands both internal and external
    • Laser focus on adhering to and enforcing highest standards of client services excellence and passion to help large companies manage their successful deployment and utilization of enterprise-focused technology
    • Any experience working directly with more traditional television business models (including cable companies/operators) and/or related technologies is a plus
    • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent presentation skills and experience of presenting to senior management
    • Ability to evaluate customer requirements and aid in the determination of internal priorities
    • Ability to communicate program status to Services Managers and Executive Management
    • Willingness to travel about 25% (quarterly trips to our New York headquarters at a minimum; frequent client visits across EMEA)
    • Professional fluency in French or German is a strong plus
